Booking & Safety Terms & Conditions

We here at Alps 2 Ocean Ltd would like to advise you to read our following Booking & Safety Terms and Conditions. Your booking is accepted on the basis that you acknowledge that you have read, understand and accept our terms and conditions.
Flexi Tour Itinerary Planning and Quotes
We enjoy planning individualized itineraries for you and your group. To ensure we can achieve your ultimate trip we need to accommodation, transfers and or Heli operators are all available as you need them. We endeavor to confirm this or provide alternatives within 72 hours of your booking. Any changes or alterations to your itinerary may result in either a request for additional payment, a refund or stay at the original booking price. If you are not happy with any changes a full refund will be provided.
Additional Alps 2 Ocean Ltd tours are also able to be added at any stage.
An invoice will be provided on booking and you will then receive
: A full itinerary with times and locations for meeting transfers or your Alps 2 Ocean partner hosts.
: A health and fitness declaration form for the activities and request for dietary information for our caterers.
: Local information package

Payment Terms

All prices are in New Zealand dollars. We accept payment by Visa, MasterCard, or bank deposit.
To secure the bookings required for your confirmed itinerary we require full payment on booking which can be adjusted or refunded in total within 72 hours if the itinerary needs to be altered and it wasn’t acceptable to both parties.

Cancellations

If for any reason you wish to cancel a confirmed booking after the initial 72-hour period from booking
For cancellations more than 60 days from departure date – you forfeit a 25% deposit. It is available and can be applied to a future booking for you, departing within 12 months from the original departure date. A $50 transfer fee will apply.
For cancellations between 30 and 60 days from the departure – 50% of your full payment will be refunded.
For cancellations 30 days or less from the departure – there is no refund payable.

Fitness
To gain maximum enjoyment of your cycle experience we recommend that all clients have a level of fitness enabling them to cycle at a medium pace on varied terrain for several hours for each day of their itinerary.
You must be physically fit, in reasonable health with no medical or other reason present for you to not participate in the activity of cycling. If you have any concerns, please advise us before you make your final payment.
During the booking process we require all of our clients to complete a health & fitness declaration form. Please list on this form any medical conditions or other information we need to know to include you safely in this activity. For example: asthma, allergies, heart conditions, epilepsy or pregnancy. Alps 2 Ocean Ltd reserves the right to withdraw any person from a tour for safety reasons.
Changes to your Itinerary
Alps 2 Ocean Ltd reserves the right to change tour departure times, routes and accommodation options to ensure client safety and satisfaction. If your itinerary is shortened for reasons relating to these changes you will be provided with a relevant refund.


Insurance

We strongly recommend our clients take out travel, accident, medical, baggage and cancellation insurance. There will be no refunds once a tour has commenced.
We strongly recommend that all visitors to New Zealand have full insurance covering any injury they might suffer, including medical treatment cover, before undertaking this itinerary.


Force Majeure
If Alps 2 Ocean Ltd is prevented (directly or indirectly) from performing any of its obligations under this agreement by reason of act of God, strikes, trade disputes, fire, breakdowns, interruption of transport, government or political action, acts of terrorism, acts or omissions of a third party or any other cause whatsoever outside The Alps 2 Ocean Lads’ reasonable control, Alps 2 Ocean Ltd will be under no liability to you and may, at its option, by written notice, either cancel the tour and issue a full refund, or make alternative tour arrangements as required.
Risk and safety declaration


You acknowledge that:

Alps 2 Ocean Ltd acts solely as an agent working with third party suppliers to provide services such as, but not limited to, your food, accommodation and bikes and that your right of action in regard to any shortcoming of that third party’s performance is against the third party and not against Alps 2 Ocean Ltd.
Alps 2 Ocean Ltd staff and management team will take all practicable steps to identify and minimize potential dangers. There is an element of risk involved in any adventure activity. You must follow the instructions of Alps 2 Ocean Ltd staff and management team and use any safety equipment provided at all times and accept the inherent and increased dangers and risks associated with your proposed tour and the accompanying risk of injury, death or property damage or loss.
We reserve the right to withdraw any person from a tour, who in our opinion, is likely to endanger themselves or others. We also reserve the right to cancel any activity on the grounds of safety.
Clients are required to take reasonable care of their belongings.


Liability Waiver

In consideration of Alps 2 Ocean Ltd accepting your booking, you:
Release, waive, discharge, hold harmless and agree to indemnify Alps 2 Ocean Ltd and its officers, employees, agents, licensees, guides and other representatives and the land management authorities in New Zealand from all claims, actions or losses for bodily injury, property damage, wrongful death, loss of services, loss profits, consequential, exemplary, indirect or punitive damages or otherwise which may arise out of or occur during your travel in connection with the tour or any activities conducted in conjunction there within unless caused by the willful negligence or wrongful act of Alps 2 Ocean Ltd and its employees. Regardless of the situation of circumstances giving rise to the claim, you waive any claims you have, or may at any time have, against Alps 2 Ocean Ltd and its employees and you agree, by accepting the additional inherent dangers and risks associated with the tour, not to make any claim against or seek any compensation from Alps 2 Ocean Ltd and its employees in respect of any personal injury, illness or death suffered by you or damage to or loss of property sustained by you as a result of your participation in the tour.
To the extent permitted by law, all our liability for damage to your property, disruption to travel plans, or mental injury is excluded. This is subject to any rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantee Act 1993 if booking in NZ. If sections of the Act do apply Alps 2 Ocean Ltds’ liability is limited to resupplying the services or paying the costs of resupplying the services, whichever is the lesser.

WARNING: Under New Zealand law it is extremely unlikely that you will be able to sue anyone if you are injured and/or suffer disruption in your travel arrangements. Alps 2 Ocean Ltd holds a current public liability insurance policy covering all tours advertised by Alps 2 Ocean Ltd.
Privacy


The information supplied by you on the booking and health forms will only be used by Alps 2 Ocean Ltd. You are entitled to access any information we hold about you or to request its correction at any time.
Jurisdiction
Your booking and all operations undertaken by Alps 2 Ocean Ltd are governed by the laws of New Zealand
